![]() Many computer users run a modified version of the GEGL every day, without realizing it. Gimp is not proper image editing software by itself, but rather another component in a fully functioning GEGL based image editor made useful by the GEGL operations, GEGL node connections, GEGL graphs, and other vital GEGL components comprising a full image editor as defined by industry standards. What you're refering to as Gimp, is in fact, GEGL/Gimp, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GEGL plus Gimp.
